Description: |
A small octavo account book with title on outside cover, 'John Byram's Madeley Manor. Staffordshire 1831'. Original pagination pp.31 + 4. Armorial bookplate of John Byram on flyleaf. The volume includes miscellaneous memoranda, recipes, Liverpool Dock Bonds purchased; and has been used by others, possibly his wife and children, to record genealogical notes relating to the families of Byram, Trelfa, Moreton, Hewit, Sheen, Platt, Williams, Bolshaw, Hurst, Bourne, 1386-1909, and to insert newspaper and other cuttings concerning the family and 'notices of sales', local events, verses, etc. Most entries are before 1907, latest date noted 1939. |
